Abstract:
The interleukin-20(IL-20)subfamily comprises IL-19, IL-20, IL-22, IL-24, and IL-26. These cytokines share the common receptor subunits, downstream signal transduction pathway, target cells and biological functions. Currently, more and more studies have found that they have a regulatory effect on multiple T cell subsets and affect their differentiation direction. While the change in subgroups such as Th1, Th2 and Th17 play a key role in allergic airway inflammatory diseases. Therefore, the IL-20 subfamily may be closely related to the occurrence of allergic airway inflammatory diseases. This article reviews briefly on the characteristics of IL-20 subfamily cytokines and the current research status of each member in allergic rhinitis and asthma.
